    PANICK Entertainment Unveils Vision for Thrilling New Era in Horror and Sci-Fi Entertainment at Comic-Con International

    The new company will be home to actor David Dastmalchian's latest project.

    PANICK Entertainment LLC, a dynamic new horror and science fiction content venture founded by a team of entertainment and comic industry veterans, announced at San Diego Comic Con by way of The Hollywood Reporter reporting on the next comic project from actor David Dasmalchian.

    Headquartered in Los Angeles, PANICK’s powerhouse team is poised to reinvigorate genre storytelling, beginning with comics and graphic novels, segueing into films, television, games and more:

    • Kris Longo, CEO – Former Publisher of Heavy Metal Magazine and current CEO of pop culture marketing agency Modern Fanatic, renowned for his innovative work in branded content and affinity marketing.
    • Adam Schlagman, Head of Studio and Executive Editor – Former VP of Film & Integrated Content at DC and Executive Producer of blockbuster hits Shazam!, Black Adam, The Kitchen, and more, known for his creative leadership, development skills and strategic vision.
    • Doug Pasko, Chief Operating Officer – Former Executive Producer of The Outpost on the CW and accomplished screenwriter, bringing unparalleled expertise in television and film production.
    • Charles Christopher Chiang, Chief Financial Officer – Former Manager of Finance for DC Comics, recognized for his keen analytical skills and strategic oversight.
    • Mark McCann, Chief Creative Officer – A celebrated writer, illustrator and editor of genre fiction with a gift for creative collaboration.

    In addition, industry veteran and Syzygy Publishing co-founder and former President & Chief Creative Officer of IDW Chris Ryall will serve as Chief Advisor to PANICK, providing guidance on slate development, branding, world-building and more.

    PANICK Entertainment will debut its 2025 slate at San Diego Comic Con 2024, marking the beginning of an exciting journey to deliver Innovative horror and sci-fi experiences across multiple platforms. With a commitment to pushing boundaries and providing a space for creators to do their best work, PANICK Entertainment is set to deliver immersive and captivating stories that resonate with audiences.

    “PANICK Entertainment is the culmination of 25 years in comics for me, and to be able to embark on this exhilarating adventure with this group is a dream come true,” said Kris Longo, CEO. “Our team brings together a unmatched blend of creativity, experience, and passion.     Schlagman adds, “I am overjoyed to join an amazingly talented team of industry leaders to bring PANICK Entertainment to life. As a lifelong comic book fan, I’m honored to drive our transmedia strategy, propelling our exciting publishing endeavors into even larger, beloved global franchises. PANICK is primed to slash our way into your hearts.”

    The company’s initial focus will be on developing and producing a diverse array of comics that will serve as the foundation for potential expansions into movies, television series, video games, and other transmedia projects. PANICK Entertainment aims to collaborate with emergent as well as top-tier talents to deliver content that pushes the boundaries of storytelling. The organization will be supported by Longo’s fandom-focused marketing agency Modern Fanatic, ensuring that all PANICK initiatives will be amplified beyond the brick-and-mortar walls of comic shops to ensure the widest possible audience is reached.

    PANICK’s launch slate was revealed at their debut San Diego Comic Con this past Thursday.
