Searchlight Pictures has debuted the first teaser trailer director James Mangold’s A Complete Unknown. The Bob Dylan biopic, starring Timothée Chalamet, comes to UK cinemas in January 2025.
Set in the influential New York music scene of the early 60s, A Complete Unknown follows 19-year-old Minnesota musician Bob Dylan’s (Chalamet) meteoric rise as a folk singer to concert halls and the top of the charts – his songs and mystique becoming a worldwide sensation – culminating in his groundbreaking electric rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.

Searchlight Pictures presents A Complete Unknown, directed by Academy Award® nominee James Mangold (Walk the Line, Ford v Ferrari). The film stars Academy Award® and BAFTA nominee Chalamet alongside Academy Award® and BAFTA nominee Edward Norton (Fight Club, Birdman), Elle Fanning (The Great, Maleficent), Monica Barbaro (Top Gun: Maverick), Boyd Holbrook (Logan, The Bikeriders), Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Walking Dead), Norbert Leo Buzt (Dan in Real Life), and Scoot McNairy (Argo, 12 Years A Slave).
A Complete Unknown will be released in UK and Ireland cinemas in January 2025.
