It’s that time again. That time of the month where we get a first look at what’s coming up from DC a little later in the year. The embargo has lifted on the publisher’s October solicitations and following the DC All In announcement we now have a much better idea of what to expect when the new storytelling initiative kicks off.

The action kicks off on October 2 with the release of DC All In Special #1, written by Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson. The book, which features art by Daniel Sampere and Wes Craig, ships with covers by Sampere, Craig and Rafa Sandoval, a 1:25 variant by John Giant and a foil variant of Sampere’s main cover. Here’s a look at the artwork:

Following the events of DC’s blockbuster storyline Absolute Power, the heroes of the core DC Universe have fought against the deep divisions in the world around them to usher in a new era of unity. And it’s just in time, too—because Darkseid has returned. Superman must gather every hero on Earth to hold the line against a very different version of the Lord of Apokolips, as they raise our cosmic defenses and prepare for war…and when the first blows land, the shock waves will ripple into every series in the DCU and shake the nature of their reality to its core!

But little do they know…the greater threat is still to come. For there is another Earth: the Absolute Universe. Here, DC’s biggest icons are coming of age with fewer advantages and facing greater opposition than ever before…while miraculously retaining the immutable heroism that has inspired fans for decades. But can they really protect the light that shines inside them when the world in which they live is hurtling toward a terrible destiny?

The special is then follows by a trio of #1’s celebrating the Absolute Universe’s core trinity of characters. It starts with Absolute Batman #1 which drops on October 9. That series is being written by Scott Snyder with art by Nick Dragotta with covers by Dragotta, Wes Craig, Jim Lee and Mitch Gerads plus a 1:25 from Ian Bertram, 1:50 by Gerads and 1:100 black and white variant by Lee.

The debut of Absolute Wonder Woman #1 arrives on October 23 and is written by Kelly Thompson with artwork and cover by Hayden Sherman. Variant covers come from Wes Craig, JIM LEE and Jeff Dekal with a 1:25 cover from Dan Panosian, 1:50 by Dekal and another 1:100 black and white variant by Lee.

Creeping in to November is the release of Absolute Superman #1 which hits comic book stores on November 6 from writer Jason Aaron. Aaron is joined by Rafa Sandoval as series artist and main cover artist. Variants for the Man of Steel come from Wes Craig, JIM LEE and Clayton Crain plus a 1:25 cover by Matteo Scalera, 1:50 by Crain and completing the trio a 1:100 black and white variant by Lee.
