The promotional wheels are Disney+ are now in overdrive ready for next week’s premiere of Echo. Today the streamer has released a brand new featurette which explores how both the series and its production team worked to spotlight the character’s Native American heritage. The series debuts in the UK on January 10, 2024.
In the featurette both cast and crew, including series lead Alaqua Cox, discuss reaching out to the Choctaw Nation involving them in many of the series key decisions. Director Sydney Freeland also discusses the important of bringing this level of authenticity to the show. All of this is intercut with new footage from the series including some tantalising new action.

The series also stars Chaske Spencer (The English), Graham Greene (1883), Tantoo Cardinal (Killers of the Flower Moon), Devery Jacobs (American Gods), Zahn McClarnon (Reservation Dogs), Cody Lightning (Hey, Viktor!) and Vincent D’Onofrio (Hawkeye).
