After teasing an appearance CCXP in Brazil Paramount+ didn’t disappoint us. With star Sonequa Martin-Green and show runner Michelle Paradise on hand we got our first look at a brand new clip from the upcoming final season of Star Trek: Discovery.
We had anticipated that the streamer may confirm when fans will be able to see brand new episodes. Whilst we did get confirmation that the series will return in April 2024, no exact premiere date was confirmed.
The extended clip features Burnham (Martin-Green) and Book (Michael Ajala) as they face off again some rather ferocious alien creatures. Watch the brand new clip in the player below:
Cast members in season 5 include Sonequa Martin-Green (Captain Michael Burnham), Doug Jones (Saru), Anthony Rapp (Paul Stamets), Mary Wiseman (Sylvia Tilly), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber), David Ajala (Cleveland “Book” Booker), Blu del Barrio (Adira) and Callum Keith Rennie (Rayner). Season five also features recurring guest stars’ Elias Toufexis (L’ak) and Eve Harlow (Moll).

Star Trek: Discovery seasons one through four are currently streaming exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., the U.K., Switzerland, South Korea, Latin America, Germany, France, Italy, Australia and Austria. Seasons two and three are also available on the Pluto TV “Star Trek” channel in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. In Canada, it airs on Bell Media’s CTV Sci-Fi Channel.
