BOOM! Studios has revealed our first look at Book of Butcher #1. The award-winning, bestselling creative team of James Tynion IV and Werther Dell’Edera, along with colorist Miquel Muerto (Something is Killing the Children), letterer AndWorld Design (Nightwing), and special guests Tate Brombal, Antonio Fuso, Chris Shehan, and Letizia Cadonici set the stage for Year Five of the Slaughterverse with this special issue in December 2023.
Leading into the fifth year anniversary of the seminal horror series Something is Killing the Children and building on the mythos of last year’s Book of Slaughter, Maxine Slaughter steps back into the spotlight as she continues her journey from White to Black Mask.
With New Orleans as her destination, only time will tell what Maxine will uncover about House Boucher…and what she will learn about herself in the process.
The series’ debut issue features main covers by Dan Mora (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) and Werther Dell’Edera (Something is Killing the Children), with variants by DANI (Coffin Bound) with Tamra Bonvillain, and Jae Lee (Inhumans) with June Chung. You can get your first look at the covers below:
If those beautiful covers aren’t enough to get your hyped for the book’s release, then we also have a handful of preview pages which you can read below:
