James talks to director Emma Tammi about her experience working on Universal Pictures’ upcoming horror Five Nights At Freddy’s.

Universal Pictures is gearing up for the release of its video game adaptation of Five Nights At Freddy’s. That’s right, Freddy Fazbear is making his big screen debut this October. The terrifying horror game phenomenon becomes a blood-chilling cinematic event as Blumhouse – the producer of M£GAN, The Black Phone and The Invisible Man – brings Five Nights At Freddy’s to the big screen in the UK on October 25th. To celebrate its upcoming release, Universal Pictures gave us the opportunity to talk to Director Emma Tammi about her experience bringing the haunting mascots to life.
It was a real treat. We discussed the filmmaking process, directing the mascots on set, and what it was like dealing with a franchise like FNAF. If you’re a fan of the games and the vast mythology, then we highly recommend listening to our full conversation.
The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.
