Anime fans! We have a real treat for you today. Uta’s New Genesis is returning for a special encore performance! Anime Limited and Toei Animation Europe have announced that the record-breaking anime blockbuster ONE PIECE FILM RED is coming back to the big screen at the BFI IMAX for one-night only on Monday 14th August 2023 at 5:30pm, and at The Light Cinemas on 17th August 2023.
These special event screenings are in celebration of the film’s highly anticipated Blu-ray and DVD release, allowing fans to relive the Straw Hat Pirates’ biggest adventure on the largest stage possible before taking their own treasure home.
There’s more good news, and a chance for even more treasure. All attendees of the BFI IMAX screening will receive collectible gifts and have the option to purchase a special ticket that includes a Blu-ray copy of the film, and attendees of The Light Cinemas will have a chance to win a copy of the ONE PIECE FILM RED 4K UHD + Blu-ray Collector’s Edition. One Piece Film: Red is directed by Goro Taniguchi, who previously helmed One Piece: Defeat Him! The Pirate Ganzack!, the very first One Piece animation, with a screenplay by Tsutomu Kuroiwa (One Piece Film: Gold).
