It’s that time of the week again. Time to preview the latest adventures of crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in this week’s brand new episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. It’s most certainly a special one this week. As revealed at SDCC, “Subspace Rhapsody” will be the first ever musical episode of Trek!
The episode, which streams Thursday on Paramount+, was by written by Dana Horgan & Bill Wolkoff and directed by Dermott Downs with original songs by Kay Hanley and Tom Polce. . Here’s a sneaky peek at the synopsis:
An accident with an experimental quantum probability field causes everyone on the U.S.S. Enterprise to break uncontrollably into song, but the real danger is that the field is expanding and beginning to impact other ships—allies and enemies alike.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount as Captain Pike, Rebecca Romjin as Number One and Ethan Peck as Spock. Joining them are Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt.
