Hold on to your butts Bub. We’ve got one mother of a shock reveal for you. Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have just shared a first look from the set of Deadpool 3 revealing a brand new, comic book accurate, look for Wolverine!
We had barely recovered from the news that Jennifer Garner would be returning to the role of Elektra and now comes this new bombshell. First shared by Reynolds and Jackman on their instagram stories, Marvel has now released the image of both actors in full costume in hi-res.
23 years are he first took on the role of Logan aka Wolverine, Jackman finally dons the character’s classic yellow and blue costume for the first time. Complete with X-logo belt which looks like it fell off the page of a comic book.
The biggest change is the full-length sleeves that Wolvie is wearing. Traditionally Wolverine’s costume has left him with bare arms. Between his indestructible Adamantium skeleton and his mutant healing abilities he’s never really needed armour. But we can’t help but think perhaps it gives the costume a little more believability to have him covered up.
Little is known about Deadpool 3 but it is expect to be an adventure of multiverses proportions as Reynolds Merc makes his way from the FoXverse to the MCU.
Deadpool 3 continues filming and is set to release exclusively in cinemas on Friday, 3 May, 2024.
