BREAKING NEWS! The DCU has found its Superman and Lois Lane after weeks of casting as James Gunn formally announces casting of David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan.
Both were amongst a group of six actors who tested for the lead roles, with Gunn filming screen tests over the June 17 weekend with Nicholas Hoult and Tom Brittney also vying to play Superman/Clark Kent and Emma Mackey and Phoebe Dynevor also in the running for Lois Lane, the Daily Planet reporter.
Gunn has confirmed the news on social media.
Corenswet is perhaps best known for his role in Ryan Murphy’s The Politician and recently appeared on the big screen in Pearl. Whilst Brosnahan is best known for her Emmy and Golden Globe winning role in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Superman: Legacy has a release date of July 11, 2025.
