Following on from last week’s huge season premiere the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise has quite a conundrum to deal with in this week’s brand new episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. “Ad Astra Per Aspera” picks up the lingering plot threads around Una’s (Rebecca Romijn) arrest and takes the series in to new territory as a courtroom drama.
The episode, which streams Thursday on Paramount+, was written by Dana Horgan, and directed by Valerie Weiss. Here’s a sneaky peek at the synopsis:
Commander Una faces court-martial along with possible imprisonment and dishonorable dismissal from Starfleet, and her defense is in the hands of a lawyer who’s also a childhood friend with whom she had a terrible falling out.
