The adventures of Clone Force 99 (The Bad Batch) have been incredibly fun, daring and, as season two’s finale proved, occasionally devastating… Absolutely devastating. We’ve seen Omega grow into her role as an active member of The Bad Batch, we’ve seen Crosshair go through his own transformation, and we’ve explored the most beautiful and desolate areas of the galaxy. It has been a real treat. However, all good things must come to an end…
The Bad Batch had their very own panel on Monday at this year’s Star Wars Celebration. The panel focused primarily on the events of season two, specifically the finale, but there were a few surprises waiting. Not only was it confirmed that season three would be coming in 2024, it was also confirmed that season three would be the last. That’s right, The Bad Batch will be ending next year with one more season.

To ease the blow, attendees were gifted with an exclusive trailer. According to StarWars.com, the trailer showed Dr. Royce Hemlock, Emperor Palpatine, Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand, as well as the return of Rex. Season two dived into the Emperor’s cloning obsession but revealed absolutely nothing. There are a lot of theories out in the galaxy, but we’re still not sure what Emperor Palpatine is up to. Season three will hopefully explore the Emperor’s grand scheme. The Bad Batch are in for the fight of their lives if they hope to rescue Omega and their brother, but they’ll also be fighting against the Empire. This won’t be an easy fight.
The third and final season (still hurts) will air exclusively on Disney+ sometime in 2024. We’ll be sure to keep you up to date once news becomes available. Are you ready to say goodbye? Let us know in the comments. You can check out more news from across the galaxy right here.
