Dave Filoni is one of the busiest men in Star Wars. The mastermind behind Clone Wars has worked on many of the titles which make up both the animated and live-action Star Wars entries. During last week’s Star Wars Celebration here in London he added a couple more strings to his bow.
Firstly, it was confirmed on Friday that Filoni will finally direct a live-action movie in the franchise. Then, later in the weekend, the franchise legend confirmed that he is also working on a second season of the fan-favourite Tales of the Jedi series.
“Tales of the Jedi was so fun the first time, I decided to do some more,” said Filoni during the 15th anniversary panel for Clone Wars. No further details on the series were given.
The first season of Tales of the Jedi consisted of six short episodes, split in to two arcs. The first focused on Ahsoka Tano, from her childhood, to her time with the Jedi, and her life following the catastrophic Order 66. The second arc centred on Count Dooku, first as a young man distrusting of the Jedi and the Republic, then his fall to the dark side and betrayal of the Jedi.
Stayed tuned for more news on season 2 as it is revealed
