Universal Pictures has confirmed that tomorrow will bring the hotly anticipated first trailer for Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City. The huge ensemble film will come to cinemas across the UK in June.
To get us ready for the trailer, the studio has dropped the official poster which isn’t giving anything away. Luckily for us, Universal has also released a new synopsis which sheds a little light on what to expect…
Asteroid City takes place in a fictional American desert town circa 1955. The itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention (organized to bring together students and parents from across the country for fellowship and scholarly competition) is spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events.

Based on a story by Anderson and Roman Coppola Asteroid City stars a huge ensemble cast featuring Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Jeffrey Wright, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton and Adrien Brody.
Also starring are Live Schriber, Hope Davis, Stephen Dark, Rupert Friend, Maya Hawke, Steve Carell, Matt Dillon, Hong Chau, Willem DaFoe, Margot Robbie, Tony Revolori, Jake Ryan and Jeff Goldblum.
Asteroid City will be released in cinemas in the UK and Eire on 23rd June 2023.
