DC’s latest animated adventure, Legion of Super-Heroes is almost here. Superhero fans can own their very own copy on DVD and Blu-ray from February 6th and enjoy a bunch of bonus features that’ll take them behind the scenes, and even into the history of these super-powered heroes. The film will then have its digital release the following day on February 7th. To celebrate its release, I had the absolute pleasure of talking to Zeno Robinson, who voices Invisible Kid and Brainiac 3.
Robinson is also known for his role as Hawks (My Hero Academia), Garfiel Tinzel (Re:Zero), Cyborg (Young Justice), and Thrash Malton (Transformers: EarthSpark. As an anime fan, this was an incredible honour and it was so great to hear Zeno talk about his experiences as a voice actor. We discussed his role as Invisible Kid, his personal history with the DC universe, and even his method to finding the perfect voice for his characters. It was a brilliant little chat, and we’re incredibly excited to share it with you all.
We’ll be dropping our full podcast tomorrow and it’ll feature the full interview with Zeno, as well as interviews with Jeff Wamester (Director), Josie Campbell (Writer), and Yuri Lowenthal (Mon-El).
While you wait, here is a small sneak peak:
James: There are so many characters in the DC universe, and I’d be amazed if someone could name every character in existence! Was Invisible Kid a character you were familiar with, or was that something you had to find out for yourself. I personally didn’t know much about him, so that was a nice little eye opener for me actually.
Zeno: Yeah! I also, very much like you, did not know much about Invisible Kid. I knew of the Legion from the cartoons, and I read a little of Legion Lost. So, I knew about Lightning Lad and Tyroc, but Invisible Kid was a Legionnaire that I did not know of. So when I got the call to play Invisible Kid I was like “woah, who is this guy?”…
That feels like enough, doesn’t it? Make sure you catch our full discussion tomorrow when our podcast drops.
