Time for the first of this week’s previews from DC Comics. First up this week we’re taking a look at a brand new one-shot which is shining the spotlight on several supporting players in Gotham. Batman: Legends of Gotham comes to comic book stores and digital platforms on Tuesday, January 31.
Written by Andy Diggle, Batman: Legends of Gotham features artwork by Karl Mostert, colours by Romula Fajardo Jr. and letters by Troy Peteri. Main cover art comes from Carmine di Giadomenico with two very awesome variants from Nathan Szerdy and David Nakayama. Check out the cover gallery below:
The synopsis teases the team up between several of Gotham’s major players with Batman on the sidelines:
With Batman preoccupied, his deepest, darkest, most dangerous secrets are about to be auctioned off to the highest bidder. The guest list is strictly villains only, and the outlaw Red Hood fits the bill—putting him on a collision course with Batman’s deniable black-ops team, the Outsiders! With Lazarus Island spawning wild-card superpowers across the globe, the stakes could not be higher. Jason Todd, Black Lightning, and Katana will have to put aside their differences to save Batman’s legacy—and with it, the world. That’s assuming they don’t kill each other first!
