Next week, DC Comics releases the third issue of Marc Silvestri’s brilliant team-up book Batman and The Joker: The Deadly Duo. Today we’re taking a look at the huge gallery of covers and preview pages for the issue which features colours are by Arif Prianto and letters by Troy Peteri.
The synopsis for issue #3 teases the continued team up between The Dark Knight and The Clown Prince of Crime as the clock ticks down in the race to rescue Commissioner Gordon:
The Dark Knight and the Clown Prince of Crime’s alliance started off shaky, but now it seems to have shattered entirely. Batman has imprisoned The Joker in the Batcave, desperate to find answers about both the disappearance of Jim Gordon and the strange, genetically modified humanoid monsters gathering severed heads across Gotham. But when one of these monsters’ tissue samples comes to life, Batman comes face-to-face with a creature even the World’s Greatest Detective doesn’t fully understand, and he may have no choice but to resume his partnership with his greatest enemy.
This month features another huge roster of cover artists including Silvestri, Prianto, Ben Templesmith, Mike Perkins and Jason Shawn Alexander. Here’s a sneaky peek at each of the covers:
As well as those stunning covers we’ve got five brand new pages from the issue which you can check out below. Be warned though, if you don’t want to be spoiled before the book hits stores on Tuesday then you might not want to read on!
