Last week we left the crew of the USS Protostar in a rather precarious position. Having exited the Neutral Zone, the Protostar was confront by a huge Federation armada all with their crosshairs trained upon the experimental ship.
This week brings the penultimate episode of Star Trek: Prodigy and the beginning of the two-part finale. “Supernova, Part 1” was written by Erin McNamara and directed by Andrew L. Schmidt and picks up immediately in the aftermath of last week.
Surrounded by the Federation armada, the crew attempts to stop their ship from destroying all of Starfleet.

Developed for TV by Kevin and Dan Hageman, Star Trek: Prodigy stars Brett Gray, Ella Purnell, Angus Imrie, Rylee Alazraqui, Dee Bradley Baker and Jason Mantzoukas. The series also marks the return of Kate Mulgrew as a holographic version of Captain Janeway.
