Let’s address the elephant in the room… Or the bear in the room. Yes, this film is called Cocaine Bear, and yes it’s about a bear high on cocaine. Think Idris Elba’s Beast, but high. Without even watching the trailer we were on board. However, after seeing the brand new trailer… Well, how could you not be excited for this film? Directed by the wonderful Elizabeth Banks, Cocaine Bear will be arriving in cinemas on February 24th, 2023 via Universal Pictures.
Inspired by the 1985 true story of a drug runner’s plane crash, missing cocaine, and the black bear that ate it, this wild dark comedy finds an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converging in a Georgia forest where a 500- pound apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone on a coke-fueled rampage for more blow … and blood.
