Review
In this issue we see Robin become the hero he deserves to be, his time to step out of the shadows and step into the spotlight as he follows his plan to losen Pariah’s death grip on the universe. Using a combination of potentially second string heroes Damian must bring together a team worthy of stepping into the shoes of the Justice League, not quite a suicide mission but will probably be the most testing mission for the new team. Damien must call on the powers of his new allies to take down the universe’s greatest threat, the powers of Dr Light will definitely work against the Demon Shadows. Damian must convince the others and also himself that he is man enough to lead and defeat this threat.
The writing team of Mark Waid, Dennis Culver and Delilah S Dawson come together to write a dramatic soul searching story that goes into the inner strength of the characters showing what could’ve once been a hidden strength and building more into the Dark Crisis series.
Jack Herbert brings a darkness to the illustrations that adds more dramatic, atmospheric feel to the overall story giving the reader a more immersive experience.
Verdict
Dark Crisis is one of my top series out of the DC Universe and The Dark Army is definitely one of my favourite arcs, it has everything I would want from a DC comic and more
