Today marks the release of the next of DC Comics‘ long-running line of animated movies. Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons is the first fully CG-animated movie from the studio. It also teams up Damian Wayne and Jonathan Kent for their first feature-length animated adventure.

During New York Comic Con, we were lucky enough to get the chance to chat with the creative team behind the film and from today we’re bringing you each of those interviews.

In this next interview, Neil is chatting with the film’s director, Matt Peters. Peters is no stranger to the DC Universe having recently directed the Constantine: The House of Mystery animated short.

You can watch their interview, in full, in the player below:

In case you missed it, earlier today we dropped our interviews with Travis Willingham who voices Superman and Laura Bailey who plays Lois Lane. Coming up later today we’ll have interviews with cast members Jack Griffo and Jack Dylan Grazer. We’ll also be speaking with writer Jeremy Adams and producers Rick Morales. So stay tuned!

Jack Dylan Grazer (Shazam!, Luca, It) and Jack Griffo (The Thundermans) lead the voice cast as Jonathan Kent and Damian Wayne, respectively. The supporting cast features Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Batman: The Long Halloween) as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Travis Willingham (Critical Role, Sofia The First) as Superman/Clark Kent, Laura Bailey (The Legend of Vox Machina, Naruto: Shippûden) as Lois Lane, Darin De Paul (Overwatch, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge) as Lex Luthor & Starro, Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Green Arrow & Penguin, Zeno Robinson (Big City Greens, Pokémon) as Jimmy Olsen & Melvin Masters, Nolan North (Uncharted video game franchise, Young Justice, Pretty Little Liars) as Jor-El, and Myrna Velasco (DC Super Hero Girls, Star Wars Resistance) as Wonder Girl & Lara.

Matt Peters (Justice League Dark: Apokolips War) directs Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons from a script penned by Jeremy Adams (Mortal Kombat Legends franchise). Producer is Jim Krieg (Batman: Gotham By Gaslight) and Supervising Producer is Rick Morales (Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders). Executive Producer is Michael Uslan. Sam Register is Executive Producer.
