Review
This issue begins the latest story arc of Batman Incorporated following the super group of heroes on their latest mission. Someone is taking out all of Batman and Ghost-Maker’s closest past mentors leaving cryptic clues at each scene leading the Incorporated team on an intensely wild goose chase. Although Ghost-Maker is the natural leader there seems to be resentment in the ranks causing friction and doubt which could well result in the undoing of the whole unit, now is not the time for in-fighting now is the time to work together to take down whoever or whatever this enemy is.
Ed Brisson writes an intense introduction into this new arc creating new enemies whilst at the same time giving the team a foundation to grow on. As introductions go this was definitely a good place to start the story is action packed and riddled with suspicion, this arc is definitely going to be an interesting one.
The illustrations from John Timms capture exactly what you would expect from a DC title, plenty of dark dramatic tones giving a vibrancy to the overall story. Each panel is full of action packed artwork that gives that hypnotic value to the book, this is definitely a read in one go.
Verdict
A great introduction to the latest Incorporated arc, a new arc brings new enemies. The foundations have be laid for the arc ahead and it looks to be one that will grow with intensity as it progresses.
