The Titans are back! The cast of HBO Max’s Titans have stormed the Main Stage at New York Comic Con for a huge panel lifting the lid on the upcoming fourth season of the DC Comics series.
First up, the cast revealed that the series would be returning with new episodes starting Thursday, November 3. The premiere will bring two episodes to the streamer before the rest of season 4 part one rolls out through December 1. An additional six episodes of season 4 will be released in 2023.
Here’s a look at the season 4 teaser:
A new synopsis for season 4 teases the journey ahead for the Titans now that they have left Gotham behind:
Having saved Gotham, the Titans hit the road to head back to San Francisco. But after a stop in Metropolis, they find themselves in the crosshairs of a supernatural cult with powers unlike anything they’ve faced before.
The main stage crowd were also treated to two clips from the season 3. The first finds the team heading out of Metropolis when Superboy (Joshua Oprin) is contacted by Lex Luthor (Titus Welliver). Take a look at the clip in the player below:
The second clip reunites the main cast of the series as they suit up to take on Mother Mayhem (Franka Potente). The battle almost turns nuclear when Mayhem bests Nightwing, Raven and Superboy. Can Starfire save the day? Check out the clip in the player below:
The panel also brought a huge moment for series original cast member Ryan Potter. Potter has been vocal in the past about lacklustre storylines for Gar aka Beast Boy. But this season will put a greater focus on the character and includes a story co-written by Potter himself.
During the panel Potter was given a moment in the spotlight to confirm that this season will finally see Gar get his own super suit (below). As with all Titans‘ costumes, Gar’s suit comes from the mind of designer Laura Jean (LJ) Shannon. We think you’ll agree that it’s another brilliant design!
Season four stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter, Joshua Orpin, Franka Potente, and Joseph Morgan, with Jay Lycurgo and Lisa Ambalavanar recurring.
Titans is produced by Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and is based on the characters from DC. Greg Walker is the showrunner and serves as executive producer alongside Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Richard Hatem.
