Review
It’s the beginning of the end of this amazing arc with a two part finale detailing the Planeswalkers struggles to get to Ravinca and finally the down Tezzeret once and for all. This war is going to be unlike anything the Planeswalkers have ever come across and to take down such a both mentally and physically powerful foe in Tezzeret is going to be a challenge that will likely take everything that the planeswalkers have, an epic battle of good and evil.
In a stunning sequence the initial battle becomes an all out war as the different planes fall under Tezzeret’s spell the Planeswalkers must work together to take down the universe’s greatest threat before it is too late.
A phenomenal first part of this finale ends on a cliffhanger give the reader the intense build up of anticipation before the epic ending to come.
Jed Mackay has opened up the iconic MTG universe and given it a whole new life, for years playing the card game I often wondered what the universe would look like and thanks to the amazing talent of Jed with his incredible writing I now know. As much as I would be sad to see this arc come to an end the anticipation is building to see this epic ending and I can’t wait.
This series simply wouldn’t have been the same without the artistic talents of Ig Guara adding more depth and added dimension to the writing and making each page pop, the creative team have brought to life a series that will go down in comic history.
Verdict
A suitability epic ending for an epic series, the battle for Ravinca is now an all out war and I am definitely coming along for the ride. Directors and producers take note this needs it’s rightful place on the big screen, guaranteed to blow people away.
