Just in time for Halloween, Hulu has begun unlocking the world of Hellraiser with the first official trailer for the upcoming sequel. Directed by The Ritual‘s David Bruckner, this latest Hellraiser is written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski, both of whom came up with the story alongside David S. Goyer.
The trailer (below) certainly conjures up our nostalgia for the original film. Following in Clive Barker’s footsteps is no easy feat. In fact there has already been nine sequels to the 1987 original, none of which managed to capture the terror of Pinhead and the rest of the Coenobites. This time around it’s Jamie Clayton who succeeds Doug Bradley, Stephan Smith Collins, and Paul T. Taylor in the role of the legendary Pinhead.

A short synopsis for the film reads: In the all-new Hellraiser, a young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension.
Also starring in Hellraiser are Odessa A’zion, Adam Faison, Drew Starkey, Brandon Flynn, Aoife Hinds, Jason Liles, Yinka Olorunnife, Selina Lo, Zachary Hing, Kit Clarke, with Goran Visnjic and Hiam Abbass.
