No sooner did we find out that the cast of DC’s Titans will be appearing at NYCC, now it seems a certainly legendary comic book villain is joining the cast. It’s been confirmed that Titus Welliver (Bosch) will debut as none other than Lex Luthor in the upcoming fourth season of the HBO Max series.
A first-look still of Welliver alongside Starfire (Anna Diop) has been shared on the series official social media channels:
“He has a very sensitive, thoughtful approach to evil and power” says showrunner Greg Walker. “You know what he’s done, what he’s capable of doing, except like many of those people, he’s personable. He doesn’t have a cat on his lap. Yeah. He’s curious, which I think is very interesting about his character. He wants to know about people and what makes them tick, and how they’re different from him. He sees the world through the lens both of his own power and his own inadequacy, and tries to compensate for both.”
We now also have confirmation of when the series will return to screens in the US. It had been long rumoured that the show would begin its fourth season in October 2023. However, in a new article in Entertainment Weekly it has been confirmed that season four will debut sometime in November.
Titans stars Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly as Dove, Curran Walters as Jason Todd/Robin and Joshua Orpin as Conner Kent/Superboy.
