Blade Runner: Black Lotus #2 is published by Titan Comics, written by Nancy Collins and illustrated Enid Balam.

Issue #2 is available now either directly from Titan Comics online or from your local comic book store, digital copies will be available to download from the usual content providers.

    Synopsis

Elle, aka Black Lotus, hoped she could leave her violent past behind and find a new life. But is that possible in a world where Replicants are still hunted and feared?

    Review

In this issue we catch up with Elle as she embarks on her journey to a new life leaving behind the violence that she experienced, or has she? With Elle being one of the elite beings that were trained to be assassins you get the idea she was never going to be just let to leave and live a quiet life. The story kicks off as the shady corporate powerhouse Barnes and his bully boys attack Miguel’s peaceful settlement and things take a dramatic turn that changes the course of the story altogether. In this issue we are getting glimpses of Elle in her true form, Miguel hands something to Elle that may well determine what is next for the femme fatale.

Nancy Collins has written a story that is inspiring as well as being action packed and full of emotion, a story that has more than one dimension to it and looks to be progressing into a full on action thrill ride. In the last issue we saw the foundations laid for the arc to come and in this issue the meat is beginning to be added to the bones and the story seems to have come to life, this is definitely going to become a comic series to watch.

The illustrations from Enid Balam are simple but very effective as the reader is taken on a visual journey through the post apocalyptic world and adds to the overall excitement of the story.

    Verdict

Another great issue, opening up the story and beginning to add the meat to the bones, this is definitely going to be a series that you need to watch in the coming months it’s definitely going to be explosive.
