Review
In this issue we catch up with Sinn who is more powerful than ever before his thoughts are plainly on the throne of Hell and ways of which he can take it, one factor in his way is the dead zones are still all closed and the only person that can open them is Spawn and there is very little chance of a helping hand from him. There is a vague hope for Sinn as an announced guest appears with very interesting information. Spawn is on a mission to find Sinn before Sinn finds him in ways that only Spawn knows how and going through whoever he needs to, time however is running out and those who Spawn once looked at as allies are beginning to turn, Al must get hold of Sinn before it’s too late, or is it already?
I am fully invested in the Spawn multiverse, the writing standards are set high and this shows in the stories that come out. Rory McConville has once again blown me away with an incredible story, the writing had me on the edge of my seat with the action packed cat and mouse adventure which is gearing towards an explosive end but I honestly hope they find a way to keep the story going.
To partner up with the amazing writing you need illustrations to match that and that’s what Carlo Barberi has done, expertly visualising the words that Rory has put on paper using the most powerful artwork I’ve seen in the series so far. This series just keeps going from strength to strength.
Verdict
Another top marks release from the best multiverse in comics. The creative team just carry on getting it right, perfected combination of gripping story and mind blowing artwork.
