    Magic#18 is published by BOOM! Studios, written by Jed Mackay, illustrated by Ig Guara and lettered by Ed Dukeshire.

    Issue #18 is available from 7th September 2022 either directly from BOOM! Studios online or from your local comic book store, digital copies will be available to download from the usual content providers.

    Synopsis

    Tezzeret knows he’s been betrayed… and he’s set his bloodhound, Tibalt, on the traitor’s trail. Now Garruk, Chandra, and Niko are all that stand between Davriel Cane and a gruesome death at Tibalt’s hands. Cane’s agreed to play bait, but insists on a Cabaretti-class production behind him, complete with a guest star Planeswalker who might just give our heroes what they need to find their way back to Ravnica and save Vraska, Kaya, and Ral!

    Review

    In this issue we see the intense battle with Tezzeret go up a notch as he tries to discover who betrayed him and he is gunning for blood, sending his trusted ally Tibalt to pick up the scent and get some answers. Answers is definitely what he will receive, but they may not be the ones that were wanted. Garruk, Chandra, and Niko are the ones to save Davriel Cane but to save him they must use him as the bait, a careful plan must be laid otherwise this could turn pretty nasty. Ravinca is still the end game and the rescue of Vraska, Kaya, and Ral is still the end mission and time is beginning to run out but the Planeswalkers stand united with the added bonus of an additional Planeswalker and one that will add a great deal of support to the group which may well give them the upper hand against Tezzeret.

    This journey through the land of MTG has so far been one of magic battles and emotional struggles, a cat and mouse battle of sides that evolved with each issue, Jed Mackay has created an intense magical journey that has added alot more depth to the much loved card game and created a multiverse of stories with the ongoing potential of creating different arcs.

    Once again illustrations are by the hand of the incredibly talented Ig Guara who has used his natural artistic talent to bring this much loved world to life with panels that are action packed and mesmerising creating a comic book you don’t want to put down.

    Verdict

    A story that keeps evolving, the different arcs from the multiverse are coming together to create a magical powerhouse. The battle for Ravinca continues…
