The cameras are rolling, and Godzilla and Kong are on set in Austrailia. The sequel to 2021’s Godzilla vs Kong has officially started filming, which means more exciting news will follow. Not long after Adam Wingard let fans know that the iconic titans have arrived to shoot, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures announced some more news regarding out human cast…
We know that Dan Stevens is set to star in the upcoming seque. But after that, no other announcements were made. However, we now have a better picture of what we’ll be dealing with in this team up.
There are quite a few familiar faces returning for the sequel, which is fantastic to see. The cast includes Rebecca Hall as Ilene Andrews, Kaylee Hottle as Jia. and Brian Tyree Henry as Bernie Hayes. The new cast members include Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings‘ Fala Chen, Dan Stevens, Alex Ferns, and Rachel House. As of right now, we have no idea who they’ll be playing or whether they’ll be fighting with Godzilla and Kong… Or against them. Considering how far mankind went in Godzilla vs Kong with Mechagodzilla, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if another human faction were to awaken another Titan with the hopes of using it to once again become the dominant species.
Who will force Godzilla and Kong to team up? That is the question, isn’t it? With production well underway, we could receive some more news in the coming weeks. Make sure you stay tuned for more details.
The untitled Godzilla vs Kong sequel is set to hit our cinemas on March 15th, 2024.
