Full of inventive dreamscapes and wildly imaginative low-fi visual effects, Bulldog Film Distribution has debuted the trailer for Kentucker Audley and Albert Birney’s playfully surreal romantic fantasy Strawberry Mansion.
The films synopsis reads: In the not-too-distant future, an all-seeing surveillance state conducts “dream audits” to collect taxes on the unconscious lives of the populace. Mild-mannered government agent James Preble (Kentucker Audley) travels to a remote farmhouse to audit the dreams of Arabella “Bella” Isadora (Penny Fuller), an eccentric, aging artist. Entering Bella’s vast VHS archive, which contains a lifetime of dreams, Preble stumbles upon a secret that offers him a chance at love – and hope for escape.

Strawberry Mansion is written and directed by Kentucker Audley and Albert Birney (Sylvio) and it stars Kentucker Audley (She Dies Tomorrow), Reed Birney (The Hunt), Penny Fuller (All The President’s Men), and Grace Glowicki. The film features a score by renowned electronic musician Dan Deacon (Hustle).
Bulldog Film Distribution presents Strawberry Mansion in select cinemas and on demand from September 16, 2022.
