Review
Radiant Red #5 sees the conclusion of the series’ first arc as Satomi is faced with a decision which could change her life forever. She must chose between her head and her heart, each with its own inescapable consequences. Whilst Satomi has a plan that would see her come out of this for the better, is this something she can pull off?
Cherish Chen has created a new breed of superhero with Radiant Red. Over five issues, the story has brought with it intense action and raw emotions. It’s been nothing short of a thrilling journey from the beginning and this issue was no less gripping. Satomi’s journey has been inspirational and shows that every choice and every action is loaded with consequence.
Miguel Muerto and David Lafuente have used a unique style of illustration that has taken the reader on a breathtaking journey, each story board has been rammed packed with action using a full on illustration style that has empowered the story and brought each page to life with a unique almost anime style each book has left me wanting more each time.
Verdict
I have enjoyed following Satomi’s journey and witnessing the growth of the character throughout these books. As a new story from a familiar multiverse, the Radiant world continues to evolve and grow into a full strength multiverse.
