Review
In this issue we see the gripping conclusion to this arc as Dylan is torn in two different ways with a big decision to make for the greater good, but which way is the correct way?
Having found out in the previous issue that his father’s murderer was indeed close to home, his mother he now faces the tough decision to either side with his mother, who he now knows has powers of her own thanks to her selling her soul for the the privilege. Dylan must choose whether he sides with his mother and hands over the sun stone and move on with the life that his mother wants, or does his listen to the spirit of his father, still living inside the suit and therefore Dylan’s head, the other option is to wipe out his mother and stop her dangerous powers before it’s too late even if it does mean taking out the one person he cared for.
Personally I have enjoyed the first part of the story arc I found that Ryan Parrott has once again created a story that not only captivates but also invigorates the reader, each page is action packed but also has an underlying emotional connection story that really adds more depth to the book as a whole.
Abel provides a intense level of art to the illustrations that perfectly highlights the story Ryan is trying to portray. Creatively this book seems to cover all bases an intense story that you won’t want to put down with artwork that mesmerises, a perfect combination.
Verdict
Another strong comic from Ryan Parrott and his creative team. This first part of the arc is a strong introduction to the Rogue Sun character laying the foundations for an even stronger second part.
