Jason Momoa and Tom Holland seem to have a lot in common when it comes to keeping secrets. Let’s face it, they’re both terrible at it… But that’s why we love them. The internet was once again shocked by the return of Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne whose future has been an absolute mystery ever since he stepped down back in 2019. After being casted in the solo Flash movie, everyone assumed that this would be Affleck’s farewell to the role. Well, it still might be… But, Ben Affleck will be back as Bruce Wayne in Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom.
Jason Momoa shared a video on Instagram from Warner Bros’ studio following some additional shooting for the Aquaman sequel. After talking to some fans on the backlot tour, Momoa heads towards a trailer with “B.A.” written on the door. Well, who could that be?
Shortly after, Momoa shared a wonderful picture with Ben Affleck confirming the star’s return to the DC Universe. Now, it’s hard to say what these reshoots will add to Aquaman 2. What we do know is that Bruce Wayne will be involved in some capacity. Considering that The Flash is due to come out after Aquaman, these additional scenes could help connect the two films together. Regardless of what actually happens, we’re just glad to see Ben Affleck back as Batman.
Warner Bros. recently shuffled their release schedule for the upcoming slate of DC films, so let’s clear things up. The Flash, formerly due for release in November, will now debut in cinemas on June 23, 2023- Which may be for the best right now. James Wan’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom vacates it December 16, 2022 slot and will now debut on March 17, 2023. The latter move takes Aquaman away from another water-heavy movie, James Cameron’s Avatar 2 which is also due for release on December 16.
It’s not all bad news however. It’s been confirmed that David F. Sanberg’s Shazam: Fury of the Gods moves up almost 7 months from June 2023 to December 16, 2022. Yes, Zachary Levi will now take on Avatar at the Christmas box office.
Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom will be swimming to cinemas on March 17th, 2023. Of course, we haven’t had a trailer for the upcoming sequel yet, but we’re certain that one is on the horizon. So, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for more from Aquaman 2. While you wait, there’s plenty to explore within the DC universe right here.
