We’ve been hearing rumours for some time that Marvel Studios was preparing to give us our first look at Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Many expected that first look would come during September’s D23 conference. But Kevin Feige surprised audiences last night by debuting the trailer in Hall H at SDCC.
The trailer opens with an emotional version of the Bob Marley classic ”No Woman, No Cry” but soon transcends the loss of Chadwick Boseman with a remix of Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” , signalling a few era ahead for the fictional nation.

It’s clear that Chadwick Boseman’s presence will loom large over the film. His impact on the MCU was huge, even in only a short time and its clear that Ryan Coogler and the team all felt that needed to be honoured.
But Wakanda Forever also isn’t straying away from some huge action. With the debut of Riri Williams (Dominique Thorn) and Namor the Sub-Mariner (Tenoch Huerta). New threats are emerging and, as we now know, this film will mark the end of Phase 4 so there is a lot resting on its shoulders.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will hit cinemas on November 11, 2023.
