Review
This issue brings us deeper into the story arc of the hidden planeswalker as we see the main characters Lilianna as she brings the recently awaken Isona Maive back to the plane of Strixhaven. Although the powers of Isona Maive is unquestionable and is all there to see it may well be a big mistake as this sort of nonchalant attitude can attract the wrong kind of attention from the wrong type of person and the Master of Metal the Tezzeret definitely is the wrong person you want on your tail.
The characters of Lilianna and Isona Maive keep growing with stature as the different life changing decisions take hold, but can they stay out of the evil Tezzeret and his scheming ways, he is very convincing in his ways and definitely talks a good talk but I do have deep reservations on this one, his intentions definitely aren’t for good.
The more I read of Mairghread Scott and her work the more I am captivated by her words, I find her stories have the strength to take you on a mystical journey that unlocks your imagination and transports your mind deep into the world of the arc. The illustration team for this book have carried off a great job in creating a visual transporter that encapsulates the words written on the page and creates a visual symphony that you can’t take your eyes off.
I personally find this off shoot story arc interesting with it’s development in creating a multiverse of stories from the MTG world.
Verdict
A visual symphony with mystical writing creating a story that can’t be missed, a piece of writing that will unlock your imagination and take you on a magic journey. Definitely a recommendation for any fan of the Magic world.
