It’s always fun guessing what new figure Hot Toys have in the works, especially around a new release such as Doctor Stranger In The Multiverse Of Madness. We’ve had an updated Doctor Strange and a new Wanda, but after the reveal of “Dead Strange” it’s safe to say that many of us have been patiently waiting to see what Hot Toys do with one of Marvel’s boldest and most captivating characters. Well, the wait is finally over.

Hot Toys unveiled their Dead Strange figure a few days ago and it is absolutely magnificent. This newly developed figure features a new and unique head sculpt and hair sculpture with disgustingly beautiful details; a decaying tunic outfit and sculpted boots, a distressed cape with sculpted heads of demons; the greatly detailed Souls of Damned accessories to drag on Strange, and a dynamic figure base. This desecrated and decaying version of Doctor Strange has a presence unlike any Hot Toy figure we have seen in a long time.

Don’t believe us? Check out Dead Strange in all of his terrifying glory below:

Arguably, this is one of Hot Toys’ best. Without a doubt. Now, every time Hot Toys release a new figure it is incredibly difficult not to say how impressive it is. With each new addition, they seem to be able to improve and advance in regards to developing authentic materials, the outstanding face sculpts, as well as the actual scale of the figure. Dead Strange is a perfect example of how far Hot Toys have come, just look at his Souls of the Damned cape, it’s utterly insane. Imagine having that on your shelf…

Well, you can, obviously. Dead Strange is set to be released in 2023, between July and December to be precies. Of course, Hot Toys have a long history of delays so fans could be waiting a little bit longer. However, given the nature and quality of this particular figure… A delay is fine. Strange will cost roughly $385 (£317) and can be preordered from Sideshow Collectibles right now.

What do you think of Hot Toys’ latest Doctor Strange figure? Let us know your thoughts in the comments, and don’t forget to check out more collectible news.

Directed by Sam Raimi, the film stars the returning Benedict Cumberbatch alongside Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Xochitl Gomez and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff.
