We’re just a couple of weeks away from the UK launch of Paramount+. The streamer is widely known as the US streaming home of Star Trek, many fans are hoping the platform will be the same in the UK. Part of that curation will include the UK debut of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the latest series in the iconic franchise to launch over the pond.
Paramount+ has confirmed that UK fans will be treated to three episodes of Strange New Worlds at launch on June 22. The three episodes – “Strange New Worlds”, “Children of the Comet” and “Ghosts of Illyria” – mark the first three missions for Captain Pike (Anson Mount) and his crew.
The rest of the ten episode season will roll out weekly through the rest of the summer. Over in the US, episode eight of the season will premiere on June 23, meaning UK fans will be roughly five weeks behind.
It has also been confirmed that all four seasons of Star Trek: Discovery and the first ten episodes of Star Trek: Prodigy will be available at launch. Theatrically, the service will launch with Wrath of Khan, The Search for Spock, The Undiscovered Country, Generations and Star Trek (2009).
We’ll be bringing you our review of the first episodes of Strange New Worlds in the coming weeks.
