Among the mountain of additional reveals and surprises from Star Wars Celebration, the trailer for the sequel to Star Wars: Fallen Order was definitely among the best across the four-day extravaganza. Fans of the hit game have been eagerly waiting for news regarding Cal Kestis’ next journey, and finally it arrived in the form of an epic trailer that gave away literally nothing. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is coming in 2023 and, as of right now, it is impossible to predict what awaits Cal and his new crew.
However, here is what we do know. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will take place 5 years after the events of Fallen Order and will be a third person, narrative-driven action-adventure game. That’s pretty much it.
During an interview with StarWars.com, director Stig Asmussen said, “The game is all about survival. That’s why it’s called Jedi: Survivor. They are in dark times, and Cal and the crew are doing whatever it takes to stay alive. That might mean that they are making connections with people that, in other times, might be considered unsavoury.”
There are two characters that are really causing a fuss online. There is this mysterious and menacing Pau’an who seems to be after Cal. StarWars.Com currently has him labelled as an “Imperial Senator.” Many fans may recognise this mysterious villain based on his species. Pau’ans have appeared frequently in Star Wars, first in Revenge of the Sith and then again in Rebels. No, this definitely isn’t the Grand Inquisitor. Could this villain also be a force wielder? It is incredibly difficult to tell right now.
The other character is far more peculiar. The trailer reveals a figure in a bacta tank who may be the character wielding the burning red lightsaber in the teaser. Now, speculation has gone into full overdrive with fans believing the figure to be either Starkiller, Malicos, or even a clone of Cal. At this point, it could be any one. However, whoever it is… He is going to be a major imposing force in this sequel game.
Check out the official teaser below:
What did you think of the teaser? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more new. With the trailer out in the open, we may receive more news later down the line. However, the mystery surrounding this game is rather thrilling. So, maybe the less we receive, the better?
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC sometime in 2023. For more gaming news, click here.
