Star Wars Celebration proved to be an utterly insane event with announcments and teasers being thrown at us from every direction. When revisiting season one of The Bad Batch, many of us assumed that we would get some form of update regarding season two. Veteran voice actor Dee Bradley Baker sat down with Brad Rau (executive producer), Jen Corbett (head writer), Matt Michnovetz (story editor), and Omega’s voice actress Michelle Ang to discuss the Bad Batch and their future in the Star Wars universe.
Shorly after the panel closed, Disney debuted a new trailer for season two of The Bad Batch which seems to promise more thrills, surprises, and familiar faces. Not only do we get a fantastic look at the new suits donned by Clone Force 99, but we also get a glimpse of two fan-favourite characters who are returning. Commander Cody (CC-2224), who served under General Obi-Wan Kenobi, is back and serving the Empire, and the Wookie Jedi Gungi, who first appeared in The Clone Wars, is alive after being presumed dead following Order 66.
Of course, this is just a very short teaser. As with most of the Star Wars projects in recent years, there are always some surprises lurking beneath the surface. What could they be? We’ll find out soon enough when The Bad Batch season two drops exclusively on Disney+ in Fall of 2022.
