Robin #13 is published by DC Comics, written by Joshua Williamson and illustrated by Roger Cruz.

Issue #13 is available now either directly from DC Comics online or from your local comic book store, digital copies will be available to download from the usual content providers.

    Synopsis

Robin and Ravager have caught up with Deathstroke and Respawn! Can they convince Deathstroke to turn himself in…or fight to the death? And what startling revelation does Robin learn that shocks this story to its core? Plus, Batman goes deep into the conspiracy behind Ra’s al Ghul’s death and discovers it’s bigger than he thought. He must call in backup…just not the backup you’d expect!

    Review

In this issue we see the continuation of the Shadow War arc which sees Deathstroke and Respawn go up against Robin and Ravager as they continue to claim Deathstroke’s innocence but will anyone believe them? As the fight between the four goes on a few home truths are revealed that plants a seed in Robin’s head that they could actually be telling the truth. Batman eventually catches up with Robin and tries to stop him making any mistakes he’ll regret, this arc is beginning to go far deeper than just a framed assassination and could have far reaching consequences. Batman needs back up and makes a call that will raise a few eyebrows that’s for sure. This arc is definitely beginning to heat up.

Joshua Williamson continues to write a story arc that will literally have you glued to the page, it’s definitely a one stop read as once you pick this up you definitely won’t put it down until the end. Each page is expertly written that builds up the story to a dramatic end, this is an arc that truly can’t be missed.

In this issue Roger Cruz takes on the illustrations and perfectly blends the story in with some of the most eye catching illustrations I have seen in comics, the perfect partnership for a dark and dramatic story.

    Verdict

Without doubt The Shadow War is my favourite story arc so far this year it perfectly jumps between issues blending together different veins of the story. A super arc which is changing the landscape of DC.
