Next week brings with it the US premiere of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the latest series in the pantheon of Trek history. Whilst we are still awaiting news of when UK fans will be able to catch the series, today we’ve got a first look clip from the series premiere to show off.
The brief clip (below) aired during the latest episode of The Ready Room with host Wil Wheaton. The clip features Captain Pike (Anson Mount) as he travels by shuttle to rejoin his crew aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise and shows off the level of cinematic special effects we can expect from the ten episode season.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount as Captain Pike, Rebecca Romjin as Number One and Ethan Peck as Spock. Joining them are Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga and Bruce Horak as Hemmer.
The series premieres on Paramount+ in the US on May 5, 2022. We’re still awaiting confirmation of when and where the series will air in international markets.
