Review
Issue #3 carries on the story arc of the new Rogue Sun and this issue is starting to intensify the arc.
First port of call is Perinne Jewelry but there is something about the quaint jewelry store, it looks like there’s more to the crystals that hang there than meets the eye. Dylan and Marcus are still on the hunt for the murderer, the hunt takes then to the place of the murder where they begin to look for more clues. The path leads a bit closer to home than Marcus would’ve liked, but is he looking at the right person? Does the witch doctor of Audubon Park have more answers? This murder hunt is beginning to take a deeper turn.
Ryan Parrott has again written a story arc that looks to be growing with each issue, each issue that passes begins to open up into a universal story arc that looks to be turning into an epic event. Each issue that releases adds to the intensity of the arc as the Rogue Sun character grows in stature.
Abel brings a style of illustration that matches the intense writing style, each page is filled with dramatic tones and bold striking colours giving the reader an exilerating read.
Verdict
In a comic world full of superhero comics that sometimes being to feel a carbon copy of the other Rogue Sun seems to refresh the system and bring a fresh outlook on the genre, as a fan of Ryan Parrott and his writing I am excited to see where this arc is going to go.
