BOOM! Studios has revealed a first look at the upcoming Power Rangers Universe #5, from acclaimed writer Nicole Andelfinger (Dragon Prince: Bloodmoon Huntress), artist Simone Ragazzoni (Odessa), colorist Mattia Iacono, and letterer Ed Dukeshire.
The issue, which hits stores on April 27, will delve further into the deepest origins of the Power Rangers, exploring the hidden secrets of the universe like never before!
The full synopsis for issue #5 reads: On the Masterforge, the Morphin Master Teens and the Morphinaut feel the aftershock of the smoking crater on Earth’s surface. At the mysterious crash site, their new powers and skillsets are put to the test against a horde of Foot Soldiers! But what happens when their powers start to fail… and even begin to turn against them?

Currently, Power Rangers is celebrating 29 continuous years on the air, making it one of the longest-running kids’ live-action series in television history, with over 900 episodes aired to date. Created by Haim Saban and launched in 1993 with “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” the series launched its 29th overall season in March with season two of “Power Rangers Dino Fury,” airing exclusively on Netflix in the U.S.
