The release of Obi-Wan Kenobi has been delayed. Before you panic, no it isn’t a huge move. If anything, it’s actually a good sign. Sure, the delay means more waiting… But we now get two episodes which will be released together. So, instead of airing on May 25th, Disney+‘s brand new show will premiere just two days later- Friday 27th May.

See? That isn’t too bad. Like we said, rather than getting just the one episode, we are now getting two. That lots of Kenobi in just a single day. It is currently unknown as to why the series has moved, but we’re just relieved that the delay isn’t too big.

You can watch the official announcement from Obi-Wan Kenobi himself, Ewan McGregor

The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Obi-Wan Kenobi, the new Disney+ limited series from Lucasfilm, will debut exclusively on Disney+ May 27th.

The series also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
