The King Spawn series is certainly hotting up now with all lines beginning to come to a head.
The mysterious Exodus Foundation are offering Al or King Spawn a seat on the God Throne but at what price? What does Al need to sacrifice to take this seat? In his heart he wants to raise Wanda his one true love and rightful Queen, but does his head want to take down the Foundation, Spawn is at a crossroads and has a tough choice to make.
Sean Lewis is quickly rising up for me as the top writer in comics, every book he writes is page after page of intense action taking the reader deep into the Spawn world making you feel every blow, out of all the stand alone Spawn titles King Spawn for me is definitely one of the strongest ones and can’t wait to see where Sean will take this.
It must be hard to capture such an iconic comic name as Spawn but Javi Fernandez does it perfectly capturing each and every word and bringing them to life in full bloody glory, a masterpiece doesn’t even come close to describing this it is so much more than that.
Verdict
You may aswell times those stars by 3, an incredible series that just gets better with every issue. The creative team have created a monster and I am definitely along for the ride.
