Great Scott! Christopher Lloyd has joined the cast of the third season of The Mandalorian. Yes, it’s true. Lloyd can now add Star Wars to his sci-fi franchise career, like Thanos collecting infinity stones. The Hollywood Reporter announced the news just last night, and according to the report it appears as though his role has been described as a “guest-starring” role. So it’s likely that Lloyd will make a rather small appearance, but that begs the question…
Who will Christopher Lloyd play in The Mandalorian? Of course, it’s all speculation as his character details are being kept a secret. Personally, we could see him appearing as an Imperial officer of some description.
Looking back, The Mandalorian has excelled at bringing in actors from various franchises. Season two introduced Lang who was played by Michael Biehn aka Kyle Reese from The Terminator. On top of that, Star Wars have been absolutely killing it with the in-universe cameos, so Lloyd could be playing someone familiar to the canon. We’ll have to wait and see…
Who do you think Christopher Lloyd will be playing? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
As of now, The Mandalorian season three doesn’t have a release date. With Lucasfilm prepping for the release of Obi-Wan Kenobi, it’s likely that more news will follow once that limited series has aired. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for more updates.
