Review
Issue #7 of the epic King Spawn is upon us and this time we see Spawn return back to New York, but this trip is all about the business not the pleasure and by now we all have an idea what line of business Spawm is in. The arc has taken a dark twist as Spawn tries to uncover the truth of Wandas death and avenge his one love. But there is someone watching Spawn and may well be setting plans in place to stop Spawn it what could be one of Spawn’s toughest challenges yet.
Thanks to Sean Lewis King Spawn is becoming my favourite character and arc from the Spawn multiverse, Sean brings a whole different life to a universe we all love but keeps to the theme of Spawn which works really well. A hard hitting story that takes you on a journey to a darkness that is synonymous with Spawn. Each page is relentless in its pace as the story arc begins to ramp up the excitement levels further.
The illustrations are once again at the highest level, Javi Fernandez perfectly captures each and every word that Sean has written in all its graphic and bloody detail. Between the creative team they are creating one of the best series this year.
Verdict
The continuation of a potentially epic story arc. King Spawn is a much welcomed piece of the Spawn puzzle. I am looking forward to seeing the story develops in future issues of this must-read series.
