TRANSFORMERS: RISE OF THE BEASTS Will Launch A New Trilogy

Exciting news from the planet Cybertron. The Transformers franchise is heading in a brand new direction starting with the seventh installment, Rise of the Beasts. This new adventure with the Autobots will mark the start of a brand new trilogy. During Paramount’s Investor Day presentation, the studio confirmed that the world of the Transformers is expanding again from next year- Starting with Rise of the Beasts.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will follow on from Bumblebee and will be set in 1994. The film will follow two humans who become entangled in a war between three different Transformer factions- Autobots, Predacons, and the Maximals. This time, we’re actually moving away from the Decepticons. However, with Megatron being absent in Bumblebee, we’re certain that the Decepticons will find their way back into the great war. Rise of the Beasts will be directed by Steven Caple Jr and stars Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, and Luna Lauren Velez and Tobe Nwigne. In addition to that, the legend that is Peter Cullen will be back to voice the great Optimus Prime, alongside Ron Perlman who is set to voice Optimus Primal, a transforming gorilla.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be released theatrically in 2023 and is the first of three new installments. A new animated series from @Nickelodeon arrives this fall. And in 2024, the franchise expands further with a CG animated Transformers theatrical film. #ParamountPlus pic.twitter.com/4FKsliX2Hp

“We wanted to give the audience a lot of new,” producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura explained. “We have exhausted I would say the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons. How do we find a new set of villains and priorities, saving the world is left to the Autobots and in this case the Maximals. Part of the new news, if you’ve seen the other movies, you’re going to see villains you’ve never seen before and a lot of elements we’ve never done before.”

The Transformers world is a huge one, so it isn’t surprising to see that Paramount intend on diving into it, giving us new stories, settings and characters. The blockbuster franchise has always been a controversial one, but maybe this clean slate is what the franchise needs. At the moment, it’s hard to pinpoint what this upcoming installment has to offer. However, with a trilogy in the mix it is safe to assume that this film will tease a larger threat… Perhaps a giant transforming planet?

With the release date moving forward an entire year, it’s likely that we won’t see anything until later this year. For now, it’s a waiting game. But, to pass the time… What would you like to see in this new Transformers trilogy? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts , the seventh movie in the franchise, is now set to be released on June 9th, 2023. It’s going to be a long wait, but we can’t wait to see what Paramount bring to the table.

    Autobots, transform and stay tuned!
